Firstly I love the sound quality for the price and the compact size to wear under a motorcycle helmet. , and with a visible defect on the connector (especially microphone contact), the gold plating seemed generally worn (or maybe just too thin), in retrospect this should have been a warning sign for the future. Call, my friends complained they couldn't hear me, I had a new phone at the time so I was worried that was the case. I have confirmed on my laptop and another phone that these are headphones. Twisting and moving the connector will solve the problem but will cause a lot of crackling (confirmed by the record). Later that week my right ear had volume issues and I had crackles. In my left ear, which doesn't seem to be there anymore, moving the "male" end of the cable again will cause a pop or fix volume issues.
