A truly delightful game for your music. NOT BLUETOOTH/WIRELESS out of the box.

To avoid confusion, let's get this straight first: These are NOT wireless/Bluetooth headphones. a Bluetooth receiver like the one you bought from Fios. I say this because many mobile devices have abandoned the headphone jack. If you can't live with this limitation, it's best to keep looking. are you still reading Excellent! This is simply an amazing set of in-ear headphones. The sound is so clear and incredibly detailed. You'll hear every nuance of your music. to changing bows on violins. They aren't heavy basses, but are very balanced, allowing high frequencies to be heard without harshness. If you're a classical music listener like me, you'll also appreciate the soundstage, allowing you to hear the violins on your left, the cellos on your right, and the brass in the middle of the stage. But you say you prefer contemporary music? It will not disappoint you. Guns and Roses (okay, maybe they're not THAT modern yet, but it's all relative!) is still full of energy and power. They make everything sound true and genuine, whether you're listening to Elvis Costello or Rage Against The Machine. Even Glenn Miller would be proud of his work if he listened to them. I first tried them on my MacBook Pro and immediately liked the sound. However, I like having more portability, and most people aren't going to spend that kind of money just to have it attached to their computer. I had a Sony Bluetooth receiver from 2013 and they sound very, very good with them. Unfortunately, the Sony SBH20 is no longer in production, but FioS has made it its mission to fill in the audiophile equivalent. Haven't tried it yet, but the reviews are promising. Also, I noticed that Shure makes MMCX Bluetooth adapter cables so you can turn them into true wireless headphones. They have detachable cords so you don't break the connection and you're left with a very expensive zip tie. In theory, the cables are designed to run up and down behind the ears. I just tuck them in as usual and let them dangle in the front because it takes too much fiddling to get them in the back. Detachable cables can also be replaced with MMCX Bluetooth adapters, allowing you to connect them to your favorite Bluetooth device. The set includes a variety of ear tips including branded triple flange ear tips. Finding the right tip is crucial to getting the best sound out of these (or ANY) headphones. Too small or too big and they sound like dollar store earplugs. You'll know they're the right size when you stop hearing kids yell at them. And while we're on the topic of earplugs, make sure you wipe all of the ear mucus off of both the earplugs and your ears. Trust me, you don't want to get the ear infection that you might otherwise get. Many people wonder why people spend so much money on wired headphones. Wired sound is still better. A $200 set of wired headphones costs twice as much in the wireless version due to additional hardware (batteries, bluetooth receiver, etc.). Also, with a true wireless connection, it's all too easy to lose it. and you have a problem with charging the battery. Sometimes just better.[LCVR]

Pros
  • DETACHABLE 3.5mm COMMUNICATIONS CABLE for direct connection to laptops, in-flight entertainment systems and other mobile devices; Secure over-the-ear design with cable fit ensures headphones stay in place and cables are out of the way;
Cons
  • Good overall, but...
