****Update***** I was able to identify the cause of the problems I was dealing with which led to mine frustration. First, the instructions I received via email are a bit misleading on how to connect the power cords that power the Halo. This particular item does not require the additional DRL cable that came with the headlights, nor does it need to be connected to the 3-pin connector on the headlight as shown in the attached photo from the manual. The DRL function is powered by the connection going from the hot fuse box switch to the 4-pin black connector. pairing receiver. Once paired, it works great at about 15-20 feet away. That's probably why most users complain about the app crashing, maybe they didn't hold it close enough to pair. Clearer instructions would have prevented confusion, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. Otherwise the lighting works as described. And the last point worth mentioning is that the white color of the RBG is very slightly bluish. And since it's illegal (in Texas, at least) to drive on any light other than white or amber, it can cause a problem. However, I had no problems with white as daytime running lights. ***** I am very disappointed with the product I received. I bought them specifically for the advertised RGB feature and the Bluetooth control option, which is honestly why they cost twice as much as regular LED lights. After unpacking, I found that there were no instructions. However, I received instructions via email even though they did not match the product I received. I've attached a photo from the manual showing the pigtails on the headlight connector that is for the DRL wire that is supposed to power the Halo so it can act as a daytime running light and change RGB color. The product I received included a DRL cable, but the headlights don't have a pigtail to connect the DRL cable. I'll be happy to update my review once I receive the advertised product. But I'm sure I'll have to spend my time getting that back first. I am currently driving with a broken headlight and hate waiting any longer for the return/exchange process.
