This design is the safest headphone you can currently use on a bike. The sound quality isn't as good as other types of headphones, but it works for the voice of podcasts, for example, and in cold weather the sound gets even better if you use headphones. The battery life is specified as up to 6 hours. That seems correct. My rides can last 3 to 5 hours and I never run out of battery. The buttons are very small and you really have to know where they are to be able to use them without looking. I usually use my fingernail to press the button to turn it on.
