Great lamp so far

Got this lamp for my 5 year old Benq W1070 (with 2 years on the last lamp). In short, I'm amazed at how much improvement this lamp has brought. I've had a lot of projectors in the past, but I still forgot how much lamp brightness fades over time. So it was a really pleasant surprise when I added this lightbulb. Is it better than any other lamp? I can't tell you, but I can tell you that as someone who paid for the bulb (i.e. not the supplier), I have extensive experience with projectors and am relatively critical of the claims made by the sellers, with this one Bulb am very satisfied (so far). As for this issue over time, I'll post if I have any issues with it over time as I've only logged 15 hours so far. However, as far as I can tell it is as bright or brighter than the lamp my projector came with. Better out of the box than my last replacement. The sample size is one, but oddly enough, this lamp is great. The installation process wasn't difficult given the nature of the task. 1) Put on rubber/latex/cleaning gloves (to avoid leaving oil on the bulb), choose a large open area to work, take a small Phillips screwdriver and any other screwdriver needed to open the projector (hex head for me - see step 2) 2) Open the projector and remove the lamp assembly (youtube if needed) 3) Use a small Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screws in the aluminum shield (to reveal the screws that holding the edge of the lamp) [may be specific to the benq W1070 from here] 4) Use the same to remove the crescent shaped aluminum flange holding the edge of the lamp5) Disconnect the 2 cable clamps from the lamp itself6+) Reverse operation using a new lamp
