Doesn't actually measure body fat, muscle mass, or water weight.

I've been using this scale for about 6 months. This scale claims to measure weight, body fat, muscle mass and water weight. However, it only seems to accurately measure weight. When I first used it, I noticed that the body fat reading seemed a bit high, so I did a little experiment. I weighed myself first thing in the morning (172.0lbs, 15.6% BF, 42.4% MM, 63.7% W). I then drank 1 liter of water (2.2lbs) and weighed myself again (174.0lbs, 16.2% BF, 42.1% MM, 63.2% W). According to the scale, I gained 1.356 pounds of fat, 0.404 pounds of water, and 0.326 pounds of muscle. I should also mention that the BF meter at the gym says I have 11% BF. Based on my looks I would say I'm between 10 and 11%. So if you just want a scale that tracks your weight in an app, this scale will work just fine. If you are interested in the BF measurement I would not take this.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • boring packaging
