I recently moved across the country and had to transport two cats on a plane. We bought this carrier for my larger 15 lb cat. It is the ideal carrier for air travel. The dimensions of the aircraft carrier perfectly matched the space under the seat that she had to occupy during the flight. Despite being a large cat, he had enough space in the transporter to change position and turn around, which was essential for a 6-hour flight. The fleece-lined butt was comfortable enough to take a few naps on in the days leading up to the flight. The luggage pass allowed us to roll it onto our suitcase which is very valuable as we had a lot of luggage to lug around during the move. We were also able to stash a few extra pads and some food for him in the outside pocket, freeing up much-needed luggage space (a cat is considered your personal item on flights). The huge mesh panel allowed me to look down and easily check it in flight. This is a great airline for those who need to fly with a pet. We used an existing carrier that we have already had to fly with our smaller cat, but will be buying this for him if we ever need to take him on a plane again.
