Review on Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T90 12 Camera & Photo by Melissa Marie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Camera exceeded my expectations

Was looking for a new camera because my wife's old Canon Powershot (5 year old camera) died. She gets all my used stuff so I gave her my other Canon Elf camera. It was a good camera, but it had problems with the lens and the image stabilization function. See I ride roller coasters and sometimes I put the camera in my bag and it had a handy power button and I tried to push the lens out but couldn't so it got stuck. I've sent it back to the manufacturer twice in less than a year. So I was glad that I had to buy a new camera. I was considering the DSC-T900 but decided that the DSC-T90 is basically the same but cheaper (smaller display, I think it's all close to $100). I'm still learning all the features of this camera, but it really exceeded my expectations. I love taking night shots of roller coasters and amusement parks and it was AWESOME when I cranked the ISO to the max. It was great and very convenient to use. The menu is very intuitive. I like that it protects the lens with a cap and doesn't extend the lens. It also records videos well and has a resolution of 12.5 megapixels. I am completely happy. I even played a slide show on the flat screen TV in my hotel room (including music from the camera). My only complaint is that I probably get 40-50 shots on a single charge. I also had a problem with the memory card I bought, but I think it's a bad memory card. I would suggest getting a backup battery and always uploading your photos to your desktop or laptop as soon as possible to protect them from being caught on camera. I just love this camera so far.
