I have some back problems and often sleep prone at home so motel beds that force me to sleep flat just don't help. This hinged wedge on the motel bed works great. Some have complained that it's too hard and yes it's quite hard but my back likes it that way. If you want a softer surface, just put a motel blanket on top, or even a couple of large motel bath towels, or in a pinch, a couple of motel pillows. I especially like how it folds up and fits into a carry case with a travel handle. It doesn't have two options though - it's quite large - too big to travel on a plane unless you check it in as luggage. I don't know how to get around this because if you made it foldable and inflated it wouldn't provide very good support. So great for home use. It's great for car rides. Not so much for air travel.
