Review on πŸ”Œ MP HTS850 PowerCenter for Home Theater by Monster Cable (Discontinued) by Tommy Abreu

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ok for the price, but not outstanding.

I love Monster products. Not because I'm a cocky audiophile who likes to flush money down the toilet. I like them because of the normal thoughtful design of the products, the durability of these products, and the price of these products compared to really insanely expensive brands like Audioquest. This surge protector looks good and as always is functional and works well, but it's a mistake that I think is a huge oversight. If you're screwing in a coaxial line, there's just no room. I have literally medium to small sized hands for a man and I couldn't fit the coaxial connector without frantic effort and some finger cramps. I ended up just getting my coax connection tool and doing it. The bottom one is fine, but this product's protrusion where the labels are makes it almost useless if you have power adapters or big hands. On the other hand, if all you have is a standard triple plus plug and are ok with coax, then this is indeed a great looking device that hides most of your plug under an uncomfortable shroud.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Expensive
