This light is excellent for soft and LPS corals in aquariums up to 24 inches deep. I wouldn't use it on corals that need a lot of intense light like SPS. The lantern has a low profile and fits perfectly over the tank's glass top. The light is intense enough that you can see the wave action on the surface reflecting off the bottom of the 24 inch deep tank. The Blue Tooth app is great and easy to use. I already had Currentwave pumps. I was able to connect them to the included Blue Tooth Hub and now I can control both the light and the wave pump with the same app. The program options in the application for controlling color and light intensity including time cycles are very easy to use. The app also allows you to control the types of cycles and the intensity of the wave pumps if you have them. This is the best low profile flashlight I have ever seen. I would definitely buy it again!
