I have used this amp in my home in Florida where the hurricane shutters are closed and it is very difficult to get a signal inside. I could barely get 1 signal bar inside and 2 or 3 outside band 13. This is from Verizon. With this amp I can get 4 cycles of band 2 or 66 (which is an extension of band 4 this amp does 2, 4 and 5). It improved my download speed from less than 1 Mbit/s to over 15-30 Mbit/s. Noticeable improvement. The cable for the external antenna is about 50 feet long and I tied it to the back of a tree and routed the cable through a window to the amplifier box.
