Just got this. So far it seems to be doing really well on AM and FM with very limited use. (UPDATE: AM DXing is possible! Check the AM band in the evening! I listen mostly to AM and from what I saw and read before buying this radio does an excellent job of resolving distant signals for its size. I found it true .) SW is not that bad. A piece of wire attached to a telescopic antenna will help. This is a DSP receiver. So you need to tune slowly to avoid missing weaker signals. The radio is small, so you can quickly move the tuning needle over the entire range. Again, adjust slowly and be patient. It's worth it. This is a sensitive receiver that picks up many stations. I would add that I think the tuning knob will probably work better with this radio (like the Tecsun R-9012) than the wheel that has it. Of course, this is not a reason to lower the rating, just a personal preference. The sound quality is pleasant and quite acceptable for a radio of this size. It's not tiring at all. I would highly recommend the D-328 to any enthusiast looking for an affordable, high quality World Band pocket radio. This is a good choice for anyone wanting to try their hand at shortwave listening. I prefer them to BL-5C cells.
