Has worked well for about 8 months, the spring mechanism seems to have lost strength and/or the friction pads have lost their grip. The bracket no longer stays in the CD slot and often pops out when the phone is detached. Some temporary solutions are to wrap duct tape or another rubber alternative around the friction pads. This bracket is used in the 5th gen WRX but I don't think the head unit is the issue here. forward, this prevents both friction pads from being parallel, which now no longer provides enough friction to stay attached to the CD slot. I'm contacting support to see if they can send me a replacement, preferably one with a reinforced case so this doesn't work. will not happen again.
