Review on Diane Fromm Heated Gel Cap by Josh Akin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

What a great idea! Pros and cons here.

Today I am using this cap for the first time. It literally came in the mail and I was excited to use it. The out-of-the-box experience is straightforward. Very simple instructions are on the box. I put the lid on a plate first and then reheated it in the microwave because several user reviews said it was leaking. I put it in the microwave for 1 minute. The hat was warm in some places and cool in others. I massaged the cap to dissipate the heat and it worked for most areas but not all. I put the hat on my head and it stayed warm for about 10 minutes. I then put the lid back in the microwave following the 1 minute directions. This time the canopy was VERY warm/hot throughout the canopy. I put the hat on my head and it was perfect! The heat lasted 20-25 minutes. Just make sure not to microwave for more than 1 minute, and if it takes longer, do it in 20-30 second increments. The lid contains a liquid gel component from room temperature and does not come out of your fridge or freezer like food. This eliminates long cooking in the microwave. Pros: - Portable, wireless so you can multitask and/or relax anywhere without having to be near an outlet. - Easy to store because it is small and compact - Convenient because you can pack it up and even go on vacation - Easy to use. Put on a plastic conditioner cap at the bottom for easy cleaning. Cons: - Size. I have shoulder length thin hair. If someone has long and thick hair, you may have trouble juggling everything. - heat storage. May require reheating in microwave for more than 20 minutes to condition.

  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is fine
