High quality rubber band around the flash makes this device great. I mean, otherwise it's pretty much just a flash card. Yes, I am happy to pay this cheap price for a rubber band. I bought a $40 blush alternative to compare the 2. I will say that the Rouge can, and I stress that it can be better with larger groups or a flash that needs more space. My goal with this diffuser is night photography, indoors or outdoors, with a maximum of 6 people. This diffuser will do just that. It can vignette a bit on a large subject, but even that doesn't bother me. I can use a different lens or adjust accordingly. For the price, that's really not a problem. I can buy a spare just to have it. I highly recommend.
