Review on MaxTow Double Vision Turbo Boost Interior Accessories for Gauges by Matthew Miles

I've been using this EGT gauge for 6 months now and I love it. The colors are good and easy to read day and night. At night you can choose between three levels of brightness. When the ignition is turned on, it performs a self-test that includes a full turn of the needle and the flashing of the sensor bezel itself. The sensor is smart enough to do this check when you turn the ignition on and then wait while you charge the glow plugs. If you then start the engine, it will not test itself again, which of course is unnecessary at this point. I gave it 4 stars because it comes with a clear plastic hose to connect the sensor to and this hose becomes flexible and pliable under the hood. heats up and eventually loses its ability to hold the male end of the probe. It happened on the street and I had to stop and carve a new surface on the pipe which only took an hour before it also failed. I removed the clear plastic tube and installed the black rubber tube from Auto Zombie. In general the sensor is excellent, just don't use the transparent plastic tube that comes with the kit.
