This product is definitely better than the first version! It's a lot more textured and screen blurring has definitely been reduced. However, I had an issue with Paperlike picking up a lot of indentation from my notes. After a few days of use I noticed the words I had printed on the protective sheet and I tried erasing them as suggested on the website but found that they were engraved on the protective sheet. I'm not sure if this screen protector is softer than the old version, but I've never had this problem. I contacted Paperlike about this and they recommended I replace the apple pencil tip. So I bought replacement tips for $20 from Apple and the problem persists. So maybe I have a bad block, I don't know. All in all, I recommend this because I love the tactile feel, but I only recommend this if you can live with your notes engraved on the protective film.
