I had high hopes for the Royal Essence Mermaid Kisses candle. The idea of a hidden surprise in a candle is intriguing, and the scent of the candle promised to take me to the depths of the ocean. The packaging of the candle was beautiful and the necklace that came with it was a sweet touch. However, my experience with the candle has been mixed. The smell was pleasant but not as strong as I had hoped and didn't fill the room as much as I expected. Also the necklace I received wasn't quite to my liking, although I understand that's part of the surprise. On the plus side, the burn time was impressive at 90-100 hours as advertised. And while my necklace may not have suited my personal style, it was well made and could certainly be appreciated by others. Overall, I give the Royal Essence Mermaid Kisses candle 3 stars. Although there have been some disappointments, the idea behind the product is still interesting and the candle really makes a great gift.
