This is not a typical mask. It will not harden, shrink pores or tighten skin. This is thin and cleans more thoroughly. It's like a creamy cleanser that you massage into your skin, leave on for a minute and then when you rinse it off, it lathers like a cleanser. The first time I applied a thin layer and didn't feel any burning. The second time I used more and felt a slight sting as mentioned in other reviews. I'm not a fan of the smell, although it's faint. Also, it's a small bottle! If you want something that leaves you feeling super clean afterwards, this could be a good option if you don't have sensitive skin.
