Review on Under Armour Men's HeatGear Armour Short Sleeve Compression T-Shirt: Stay Cool and Compressed by Reggie Higdem

Revainrating 2 out of 5

*Review revised, downgraded to 2 stars (from 5) -- Shirt tears and chafes

[UPDATE] I've swum laps in this shirt half a dozen times. The lower edge is torn (you can see the photo of protruding threads), two stars are folded. The situation worsens (the hem comes undone) and the shirt soon becomes unwearable. I'm starting to wonder if this is genuine Under Armor - other UA products I've had haven't had similar issues. Another reason for the downgrading of 5 stars is that this shirt unfortunately chafes. The seam around the cuffs of the short sleeves rubs against the inside of my shoulders, the lower inside of my arm, below the biceps when I swim. After bathing I feel a red painful irritation on the inside of both hands in the same place. it's a matter of design. I wish the sleeve was a bit longer and reached to the elbow to prevent this instead of having a long sleeve as long sleeve swim shirts tend to pucker in the arms. I swim outdoors and need something healthier than sunscreen to keep the sun out. Unfortunately this is not the case. The chafing is unbearable, hands are painfully irritated for a day or more after bathing and now they are falling apart. The search continues. Most swim shirts are better for just hanging out in the pool or on the beach, maybe on a boat, than swimming by the rules. Unlike other swim shirts I've tried, this one fits like a second skin and feels like you're wearing nothing at all. Smaller shirts are thicker, looser, non-breathable, form-fitting, and tend to pucker around the shoulders, uncomfortably restricting arm movement. That's not the case with this shirt - it's durable and fun to swim in. It feels like being shirtless at all. After trying three other swim shirts, I'm glad I FINALLY found the perfect solution. Very satisfied. Highly recommend for people who actually swim in circles to get some exercise.
