I worked to get Archie used to the new suitcase before using it on the trip. Archie weighs 8 or 9 pounds. I just put the bottom of this suitcase in, cut out some linens from an old comforter and put in. He immediately accepted it, and now this is his main sleeping place. A few days later I attached the top of the case. It didn't seem to bother him at all, and now he sleeps and rests in full regalia. Well I haven't used it on the road yet, but he quickly realized it was one of his favorite spots.
