Review on ๐Ÿ’™ Officially Licensed Hori Nintendo Switch Blue Light Blocking Screen Protector โ€“ Protect Your Eyes while Playing! by Anastazja Adamczyk แ Œ

Good product, more pros than cons.

(The full description of the cons did not fit into the corresponding block, so I will continue here.) If you are unlucky, and sooner or later, you will be unlucky, and the drift will be caused precisely by the wear of the mechanism - it will have to be changed. If you have straight arms and a soldering iron - it's pretty cheap, you can even order joysticks in bags from China. If not very direct - either let them be soldered for money, or buy new joycons, and these options are no longer very budgetary. - Capricious Wi-Fi module. It is possible that after the purchase you will have to look on the Internet for tips on how to make friends with the switch with your router. For example, I had problems connecting to a 5 GHz channel. But in general, the console in the dock can also be connected by wire, via the 8p8c -> USB adapter. - If you carry it with you, you understand that the size is more comfortable. Putting even in a pocket of a suitable size is inconvenient and you will have to purchase some kind of bag-case. - Ports of games released on other platforms tend to look and play very sad compared to their versions on "big" consoles and PC. There are exceptions, but in general, if you have a PC, XBOX, or PS, you are unlikely to be interested in anything other than exclusives. Fortunately, there are a lot of them and many are able to drag them out for tens of hours. In general, it turns out to be a console with an unusual hybrid form factor, on which it is quite interesting to play both original Nintendo projects and other platform exclusives, but it has a number of unpleasant disadvantages. Despite the fact that the list of the latter is even longer, using the Switch still leaves a more positive impression. In conclusion, I will add recommended accessories for purchase: * Glass on the screen. The console's own screen is plastic and scratches very easily * Ergonomically designed case that makes it easier to grip the joycons. It is advisable to make sure that the Switch is tucked into the dock with it. * Case for carrying this stuff when traveling. In principle, it is easy to find kits where all this is available immediately. The photos show my set in all its glory.

Pros
  • + Large selection of ways to play. You can sit in a chair and play like a good old PSP, you can connect to the TV and play like a regular console, you can buy interesting Nintendo Labo cardboard boxes, can be played by swinging motion-sensing joysticks. you can play alone, you can play with friends on the halves of joycons, either by purchasing another pair, or by connecting another controller. + The concept of a family game console. If you're buying it for a child and don't shy away from electronic toys yourself, there are plenty of games that the whole family can play. + Speaking of other controllers. Those who don't like joycons have a wide choice of peripherals as alternatives. The internet is full of all sorts of controllers that can be connected to the Switch, from the official Nintendo PRO controller to dubious consumer goods from Alik. But that's not all, on the same Internet you can buy a stray through which you can connect even an officially unsupported controller to the Switch. For example, I often play with controller (it works in wireless mode and with gyroscope support). Yes, and in principle, the second pair of joycons for some party games can be connected. + The second revision holds the battery charge for quite a long time, compared to the first. In the "play on the way to / from work" mode, it does not even sag for me by a third, but at home I stick it in the dock and play on the TV. + The docking station and the Switch itself are quite compact and it is easy to find a place for them in the room. + Well, the last plus, which actually follows from the minus (expensive games), the sale of physical copies on the secondary market is quite well developed. Used cartridges are easy to find, at least in Hong Kong, and they usually cost about a mower cheaper than new ones.
Cons
  • Ohhhh, that's going to be a big list. - Shop. It's terrible, even to the point where you see the prices. Its interface is very primitive, and if you don't know what specific game you are looking for, but "want to buy something", you will be doomed to hours of fruitless scrolling of loading icons with games. Steam still set the bar very high in this regard. The sections "Popular" and "Skidos" are present, but even in them it is not easy to find something that will hook you. Therefore, it is better to use third-party resources to select games and monitor prices for digital editions. - Prices. The full price of a game on a cartridge is usually 3500-3700, and if you buy a digital version, then, contrary to logic, it costs more: 4500. - Prices again. Yes, two downsides. The second is that unlike other publishers, Nintendo adheres to the policy of "the game does not get worse over time" and does not drop the price of it. Yes, there are discounts, but the full price does not fall, so if you donโ€™t have time, you will have to wait a long time for a tasty price for a digital, and discounts still rarely reach the cost of a used cartridge. - Screen. It's certainly better than the people's previous handheld console, the PSP, but compared to almost any modern smartphone, it's terrible. Low resolution is not so bad, it is also very faded. In daylight, it is simply impossible to play something not bright and colorful, even by unscrewing the backlight to the ceiling. - Ergonomics. More precisely, its absence. Without third-party stray, prolonged play on joycons connected to the Switch turns into torture for your hands, and therefore various ergonomic attachments, or even third-party, thicker joycons, are very popular. - Speaking of joycons. I haven't run into this problem, but their drifting is infamous. It can occur either due to contamination or due to wear of the mechanism for reading the position of the stick. In fact, this is a problem for all controllers, I ran into it again on controller. If you're lucky, it can be repaired by cleaning.
