Review on Dahle Precision Pointer Sharpener Measuring by Kim Sanchez

I would try Staedtler

Full disclosure, that's my first clue. I've only ever used caps or a knife, but wanted to start saving on graphite powder. I bought one of these little guys from a local art store today and my initial experience wasn't the best. The leader (read graphite) is quite difficult to get into the hole and I broke it several times trying to get the mechanism to work. After figuring out the right amount of lead to advance and the right pressure to apply to the tackle I was able to get a really good score. I've seen videos of people slipping mechanical pencils into their pretty blue Staedtler sharpeners and nonchalantly twisting them to get the perfect point, so I was a little disappointed it wasn't as easy with this Dahle. especially since it was a few euros more expensive. However, if you remove the black cover from the camera, insert the cable holder so that you can visually insert it into the hole, and then slide the cover back onto the camera while holding the cable holder, the process becomes much easier. This will improve this model: a way to close the compartment so you don't have to worry about graphite getting everywhere when the pointer gets pushed around in your pocket. Some plug is needed. Also, as the other poster said, some guidance to encourage inserting the sinker into the hole might be nice, but again this problem is mitigated by removing the cap first. Final Thoughts: Why was it more expensive? I'm not happy that I always feel like I'm annoyed by the internet commodity phenomenon. Are Chinese tariffs to blame? I will never know
