Conflucient provides tool used mainly during development phase

It is very easy to use, it's free for open source projects.I like that you can create your own connectors and write custom components (transforms).It has some limitations in terms of performance and memory usage but this could be improved with more effort from confluents side. I think that using Kafka Streams API will make our work easier by providing us a lot of tools we need to build applications which process real-time data. We are solving problems related to processing large amounts of streaming data coming from various sources.

Pros

The fact that kafkastream api provides all required features needed when working wthstreaming technologies such as spark or flink makes me really happy about choosing them together!The support provided via slack channels was also helpful during development period.We had no issues so far while developing project involving streamprocessing technology(s) thanks mostly due to great community behind these products :)
