Having no experience with condenser mics (and external mics in general) I was very skeptical about which one to buy. I went through several reviews to find one that didn't cost a fortune and had all the features I was looking for. My choice changed with every review I looked at. Started with AU-A04, then came across AU-A04TC (with aluminum box), but then found out AU-PM401 and AU-PM421. I almost wanted to order the AU-PM421, but when I found out that this one (AU-PM422) also has an audio jack for monitoring, I immediately ordered it. In my experience, the product is very well made. , and also functional it makes a great sound with little effort for a beginner like me. I haven't had a chance to use it for my YouTube videos yet, but everything sounds great from my testing!
