I bought these many years ago and like to put them in my camping gear when I go out. I have one and use it to store my keys and I wear it almost every day and I've been using the same one for so long I can't even remember when I started and it doesn't look anything like this one. is showing any signs of failure or will be soon. I usually clip it to my belt loop and the cord holds my keys sliding into my pocket so it doesn't wobble or jingle. This allows me to keep my car keys off my keychain and just clip them to this clip when not in use. This means that every time I turn on or remove the car key, I open the clip. With this constant wear and tear, it still works great after all these years.
