We went to a restaurant that served tea in this teapot. My partner loved it so after shopping around I bought him this for Christmas. I chose this one because it has a full 16 oz capacity and the fill levels are easy to see. Brews great tea and filters clean. As you can see in my second picture, no marks are left behind. The thickness and finish of borosilicate glass is good. The lid and filter come apart when they need a thorough cleaning, but in most cases a good rinse will do the trick. It's almost impossible to remove the lid when the pot is hot, so wait until it's completely cool. Hold the pan firmly by your body and not by the handle. I saw a review of a rishi pot that had stress cracking near the handle. So holding the pot yourself will help avoid this. The handle is designed for pouring and is comfortable to hold without touching the hot surface with your fingers. The teapot was well packaged in a plain white box with enough space for a small pack of tea as a nice gift.
