I tested the material on these liners to make sure they are non-toxic. This isn't the case, they're coated in silicone which is non-toxic but not as eco-friendly as reusable vapes, but they're surprisingly comfortable. Not only do they keep the steamer clean (like steaming red cabbage), they also prevent objects from falling through the grate in the steamer (like your fish). In my opinion, this is the main reason to use them, but if you really want to be eco-friendly, put your food on a big cabbage leaf! I love them and recommend them.
