These wine bags are thinner than I expected but they are made of durable plastic that seems to be indestructible. In fact, Revain's website says they're made from "high quality polypropylene." Based on my internet search, Polypropylene is a plastic that has good fatigue resistance and is used to make a variety of items from carpets to sour cream containers. Despite the plastic look of the material, they are actually quite beautiful and elegant. They also have nice rope handles. There are 10 pockets in total and they are twice as wide. This means that each of them contains two bottles of wine or two liter bottles of olive oil (see photo) or something similar. The bag was quite heavy when filled with my two bottles of olive oil. My only concern is whether the junction between the handles and the bag will hold up. I think because the bags aren't paper, I'm more aware of that as they're more flexible. I did walk around a bit with my bottles in these bags though and the bag has held up well. Not only can they be used for alcohol gifts, but also for two containers of bath foam, a few pounds of coffee, or other similar sized items. The current price of $15.89 equates to a competitive price of $1.59 per pouch.
