Review on Get in Touch by Becky Evans

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Do not want it! It was depressing and it had 4 vocals on it.

I bought this album from Revain.com and personally I don't care about the vocals in my Smooth Jazz unless it's someone like Elian Elias singing or Candy Moten with Kirk Whalum on "All I Do" . " Boney's previous album "Send One Your Love" I really liked. But "Contact" seems to have neither concept nor order. A gentle jazz song, then vocals and such. It seemed to me that Bonya didn't have enough material to perform. Not surprisingly, Bonnie has a hat on the cover covering his face. He was probably ashamed of his own lack of effort. I was at the end, amazing 44 minutes, am Devastated and immediately put on the Peter White CD which I also ordered from Revain It's called "Here We Go" There are a lot of tools on this CD and at the moment. no vocals. I'm starting to feel better. I remember also remembers an interview on LOVE 94 while he was alive where the musician said he considers his instrument his voice. It's reminiscent of Candy Dulfer singing "Lily Was Here". As if her instrument were singing along. As for Bonnie, since he likes those vocals on his cd why not do an album with all the vocals by v release it and put it in the R&B section? Finally, some people have stated that they believe smooth jazz radio stations killed them. I'm talking about LOVE 94 how they insisted on playing Anita Baker, Celine Dion, Marvin Gaye, Sade and that most hated song, "What's love got to do with it?" Tina Turner yelled. Only Sade was on the air, but not every hour. And funnily enough, the show I was looking forward to the most was Private Notes with Boney James. He had songs by new artists and none of the above. i live in florida You can't throw all that shouting at older people and expect them to keep listening. I turned them off in December and when I tried them again in February they were historic.
