I needed a holder for my phone because there is no place to put the phone in the car. I only really have 1 cup holder so I decided to buy one of these items to hold my phone. After watching Weathertech commercials all the time on TV, I originally wanted to buy it. Until I saw how much it cost, $50! Then I looked for alternatives and found this one which is much cheaper than Weathertechs. Also, instead of having multiple cups for versatility, it has a base that expands to fit all cup holders. This way, you won't lose any leftovers if you need them for your next new car. This too had a long flexible extension already attached and included. Weathertech version which was optional. Once installed, simply insert your phone and pinch the sides to grab the phone. There is a button on the back for unlocking, which triggers the unlocking on the sides. I had no problems with the phone case. My only recommendation would be to add a few USB sockets to charge my phone and the batteries I carry with me throughout the day. Now my phone is right next to me and I can always see and the item is held in case I need to press something on the phone. I liked it so much that I bought it for my wife and daughter. Very affordable, very easy to use, very durable.
