These road bike pegs on the frame are made of durable steel! The frame mount design keeps it clear of my roll bars and lowers it for quick access to the rear brake and shifter. I hate using Freeway pegs that attach to roll bars. In my opinion, they ruin my road king's smooth lines, they keep my feet off the controls, and every time I see someone driving in traffic with their legs up like they're going through a gyno exam, I cringe. . The time it takes him to get from the pegs to the controls robs him of the response time he might need in an emergency. The pins stood perfectly as explained in the videos on You Tube. I was a little apprehensive about removing two of the three screws that secure my stand during assembly. I put the kickstand on a piece of wood to set the bike more upright and take some stress off the kickstand and slowly unscrewed the two bolts, but the kickstand didn't move during assembly so no worries. The parts are made from durable steel and the chrome appears to be a quality finish. Time will tell whether this is actually the case with the coating. I especially like the fact that you can use any standard HD style male footpeg. These mounts are expensive! If Ciro needed his own footpegs, overall cost would be the deciding factor for me. Luckily, I had footpegs installed on an old pair of roll-over mounts that I no longer use. They will go into a corner very hard and they don't add up. There's a small chance aggressive turns will lift the rear wheel off the ground, which is never a good thing. I'm also even less likely to be street racing my Road King so I'm not overly concerned, but if you like riding and turning hard these pegs are NOT for you.
