The instructions are not very good. You are basically saying that you place the part you want where it fits. The problem is that the center piece is perfect for cars. I measured where all the slots land and the problem isn't in the middle section. However, the remaining pieces are almost handmade. The cracks are in different places in the tree. Maybe a quarter of an inch less, but it's enough to make it look noticeably curved even when the center section is perfectly flat. I've gone through and tried every configuration that could possibly have happened, and none of them seem remotely equivalent. It's all wood, which is a bonus for durability, but it's a shame it doesn't look very good because everything is so uneven. 10/10 isn't recommended unless you have a small router and can't fix it yourself, but at that point you're probably just making your own.
