It gets cold in our house in the winter, so I wanted something safe, warm and wireless for the cat during the day when we are not at home. We keep the temp around 65 when we're not home, which is still too cold for the cat and dog. My dog won't use it as I keep it on my table just for the cat. My cat is a fearful cat who hides from every little thing. She was afraid of the water bowl when we first got her. She is afraid of my dog when he was only 2lbs and she was 10lbs at the time. I was very skeptical about this heatbed and not sure if it will really work. To be honest I still don't know if this works or not but my scared cat Headey (her name) came and won't go. I took it to another location so I could adjust where I put the bed and it returned immediately. She loves it. I don't know what she likes so much that it's not even cold yet. When I'm at home, I keep my house at 70 degrees. I brought the black color, it is very soft and even. The material on the outside is plush. There is no zipper so you cannot remove the center panel and wash the outside. I have a feeling if you throw anything in the washing machine it will ruin the plush. I would just wipe it down with a damp cloth. If you move or move it, you will hear a faint rustling, but if you lay it horizontally, you will not hear it. Doesn't bother my cat or it doesn't move while sitting, so it doesn't make any noise. It's a bit strange that there is a loop on the side, maybe people hang it up when not in use? Or maybe dry after washing? Reminds me of a drip mat. I would recommend it and would buy it again if it broke as the price is good at only $11. Compared to my $35 dog bed that doesn't heat up on its own, this is a bargain. I have Prime so it's coming in two days, even better. I think it's going to take a long time since she's just laying on top of him.
