Review on Fox Outdoor Products Dakota Backpack by Kelly Tucker

You could easily hold the rope

I bought this backpack as a hiking backpack because my regular hunting backpack couldn't hold all my gear. This one is much larger, but still doesn't go with everything (mostly a tent, but I'll get to that in a moment). The backpack is well made and has a very large main compartment. The side pockets are also quite large. You could easily hold a rope, a small first aid kit, emergency blankets or a poncho cover. If you want to add more storage space, you need to buy pouches and attach them with carabiners or some other system. My tent is attached to the straps with carabiners, so it hangs into the bag from below. Overall this is a great way to carry your essential gear but needs to be paired with some other bags or pouches.

Pros
  • Hiking backpacks
Cons
  • Big and bulky
