I love this little radio and carry it in my shirt pocket almost every day. It's so small but looks very well built. He got caught in the rain and crashed badly but is still working like a champ. The LED display is much easier to read than the LCD display commonly found on pocket radios. For me, the battery life at almost full volume was better than the advertised 8 hours. I worked 10 hours straight and when I turned it off it was still working. Plus, this little pocket radio is LOUD! You will be surprised. Everyone is like that when they hear it. The sound quality I would rate as FULL for the sound quality of a much larger speaker (not metallic at all like most radios with small speakers). It's small size also makes it a great bike radio, and the high volume means you can leave the (unsafe) headphones at home. There's only one speaker, so the output is mono, not stereo. . The sound is excellent even when using headphones (also only mono). The small strap is the antenna and picks up stations very well (I was surprised by this too since my favorite station is over 40 miles away and picks up clearly). The small strap/antenna means you don't have to plug in headphones to get reception like you do with most other small radios. I would buy this radio again without hesitation. Buy it!
