Review on Lenovo IdeaPad Quad Core I5 1035G1 I7 8550U by Chris Martin

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Bad screen, bad UI, lots of extras, lots of personal information is requested.

Lenovo i5 Idea 3 2021 Tablet (New): My computer skills are a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. and easily the worst. In this respect, the simple installation seems to keep me from the admin function. So I can't download programs on it. The program gives me NO admin button. There are guides online on how to fix this, but it's brand new, I didn't have to - I tried but there were too many quirks. These include the inability to have no login password and the need to email the computer. So my email (the one I specified at startup) pops up on the screen every time it sleeps. Also, I was willing to accept that the screen was poor and less clear than any screen I've had since 2002. It's grainy and light, which is impossible to fix (I've tried). I've never owned a Chromebook (it's not a Chromebook), but I can imagine how they work. You feel cheap, you can't keep up with how much personal information and passwords are required, and you're being sold a ton of stuff all the time. Adds all the websites I've visited. Much of the security relies on you providing your information to third-party companies. I've given it a week but since I can't use it as an admin it's useless to me (probably because of the way I set it up?). Do not buy this computer. I get off the Lenovo train.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • No form required
