The size is a bit off. Transparent plastic scratches very easily.
This frame is a bit large for most record covers. I had to add a small piece of styrofoam on the bottom to set the lid in an acceptable position (i.e. to close the gap between the lid and the frame at the top). The frame itself is metal, but the front is clear plastic that is similar or identical in quality to disposable packaging used for boxed or cardboard products. It's thin and, what's worse, it's very easy to scratch. On the other hand, the frame wasn't very expensive. If you're looking to frame an album cover and can live with the shortcomings of this item, it's probably worth it.
