This is a lightweight bedspread, which is what I wanted. It is fairly soft to the touch, but slightly stiff the way thin microfiber quilts are. The stitching is absolutely perfect and the design is very pretty in person. Honestly, I would have rather gotten a cotton quilt, but I couldn't afford that so this bedspread was a good quality, beautiful alternative.My only gripe is that in the pictures it looked (to me) more like a cool or neutral grey, which is what I wanted. In person it is a very warm grey. honestly looks more taupe to me. Still a neutral color, but a warm neutral.No biggie, though. I used a little textile dye to "tone" the set. It took the dye nicely and is now more the neutral grey I wanted :)P.S., if you are going to try dyeing it, and are unfamiliar with dyeing textiles, do some research about dyes, additives, and techniques first. Throwing a bottle of Rit in the washer with this set will probably end badly.
