This size 44 belt is 6.5cm shorter than my 10 year old Trafalgar Cortina belt.

My new belt was stamped 44 at the waist - just like the same belt I bought 10 years ago was stamped 44. However, the new belt was 6.5 cm shorter. I have contacted the Trafalgar store for clarification. It looks like the quality with which it was made is very similar, but the size is very different.
