Ordered a KLIM Cyclone Cooling Pad for my 17" HP ENVY laptop. It only took a few minutes to unbox and set up this product. I first tested the unit by plugging it into a USB outlet. The Both wheels on the right front control the individual fan trays and blue LEDs as well as the fan speed. Even run at maximum speed at the same time. As others have reported, there is a long channel on the front of the device towards the bottom edge into which a folded paper card can be inserted which is included and acts as a security bracket for the laptop. I tried using folded paper first and then replaced it with something more solid, 3 expired plastic gift cards that were more durable and less flexible. All 3 of these cards fit together perfectly in the channel, but I noticed a slight increase in CPU temperatu ren when I elevated my laptop to enable this feature. Since I use the lowest angle for my purposes and my HP laptop has multiple non-slip rubber pads on a solid, heavy metal chassis and is always used on a fixed workspace, I figured there was no need to add some sort of protective barrier to prevent slipping. For anyone wanting that extra security to avoid slipping, I recommend using old credit or gift cards, which can easily be cut and trimmed with a paper cutter to provide extra support. Lighting, even at night when all the lights in the room are off. That being said, I love everything about this product, I bought it to replace a popular cooling pad I bought from Revain over 4 years ago that has only just started working. I also love this supplier's policy, to reach every customer in a friendly way, a humorous message and a very helpful guide in an e-book to get the best performance from your computer. I've added an image of my computer's temperature generated by a separate application when using this KLIM Cooling Pad. I think anyone considering purchasing a new or replacement cooling pad can purchase this product with the confidence that the seller stands by it and wants users to be completely satisfied. Bye Joel
