Changing rating. If I could give zero stars, I would. This is nothing but a vinyl carpet. I bought an ESD carpet tester here at Revain. I checked the calibration with a 1.0MΩ resistor and sanded down the brass contacts with fine sandpaper. GXG-1987 LCD Handheld Surface Resistivity Meter Electrostatic Tester Measuring Temperature Resistance Sometimes I could get a reading of 10^12 ohms, which indicates an insulator. But I had to move the tester a lot and press very hard. Official standards state that >=10^5 to <10^12 dissipate static electricity. It has an oily feel so I wiped this mat down with isopropyl alcohol, then 409, then Spic & Span spray and tested after each clean and dry. It might as well just be a sheet of vinyl. Now I have no conductivity at all. Same on back, check, clean, check, clean, check, fail. Same result on the back. Useless garbage. I would return it if it wasn't so long since I bought it.
