Bought this for my grandson who wears size 11 shoes and broke his big toe. His doctor recommended he wear this instead of a full boot so he could still bend his ankle. He goes to high school and has to walk a lot. The shoes are light and easy to put on. He had wide feet and the shoes are still a bit wide. Velcro fasteners are tightened straight. I solved this problem for him by adding some padding on the sides and he said it felt more comfortable afterwards. You have to be careful when walking up and down stairs as the shoe has no flex and needs to stay stiff. He solved this problem by turning his foot sideways when climbing stairs. Overall I would recommend this shoe as it has lasted over 4 weeks with daily use and far more walking than the average person.
