Review on Saucony Excursion Shadow: Optimized for Trail Running by Mike Slippy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very comfortable best in running

Compared to TR14, TR13 and Brooks Ghost GTX. They were the most comfortable at my slightly wide 11ft height. Greatness was approaching. I use them to work at the Spill Happy Bar. The grip of linoleum leaves something to be desired, but that's not what they were made for. With Superfeet insoles, they make 14-hour shifts bearable. They are definitely more comfortable than the TR14 but very similar to the TR13. It looks like the 14th was a bad retirement. The Brooks are also quite comfortable in comparison, but have a higher sole and more cushioning - too much in my opinion.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • The list will be long.
