It's always a tried and true children's toy. And it always tends to scare kids, but the idea is the unknown. For our granddaughter who just turned 1 year old, the handle was too heavy for her small hands to turn the crank. And it took too many rounds for Pooh to jump out. For this age I would look for a different design. And because it's the cute Winnie the Pooh, I'm not sure. I want her to be afraid of this beloved character. I'm happy with how well it works and how well made it is, but maybe it's better suited to a 2-3 year old.
