Causes Yealink phone to crash, startup failed

Connection to Yealink T31G headset port crashes immediately when I have headset function enabled. This happens regardless of whether the headset is connected to the 3.5 mm jack or not. ALSO, it will not boot with that headset port (with or without a headset plugged into the 3.5mm port, and regardless of whether the headset feature was enabled or disabled prior to boot (whether by restarting the phone via the menu or initiated).Turn phone off and on again.) There must be some kind of short circuit in this adapter. I bought two adapters and both caused the same result.
