I was very impressed by the comparison with my standard halogens. They offer almost the same light pattern as OEM halogen lamps (2016 Subaru Forester with standard reflector headlights) and are significantly brighter than OEM halogen lamps. Longevity remains to be seen but the pair look very well made and I don't have the fan noise that I hear when the machine is running. Even more impressive is that when I turned on my 20" Rigid SR Pro lightbar, I could still tell that the Lightening Dark 9005s were on (I can't tell with halogen lights! Also, the color of the light matches perfect for my rigid.) ).
