As said above the design and looks are great until everything is assembled and installed. The post/stand has large welds on the side where you attach the post to the clamp. This makes the plastic lid, which is supposed to hide the clamp on the tabletop from incorrect assembly, more annoying than the cosmetic lid. The clamp pad that sits right on top of your desk is so thin that after tightening the clip, not even fully, the foam has already flattened enough that the metal clip now turns out to make a nice impression on your desktop stuff be wood and should ask the R&D department "Do you respect the tree?" Having gotten this far and realizing that this mount needs to be modified to work as intended, I would rather buy one that is functional and aesthetic without ruining my desk. ** Again, this may not be the case. with all but mine, has definitely been opened before and had some notches from where someone had previously assembled it.
