This defeats the purpose of playing vinyl records. It makes them sound like garbage. There is no base, the sound is very thin and fragile. Also, read carefully and know that you cannot play recordings via Bluetooth. You can only play music from ANOTHER device by connecting it via Bluetooth and thus using the built-in speakers in this player, which by the way are very small. So that's a weird idea to start with. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more; I returned that and went with the Audio Technia LP60x instead and it's well worth the extra money, although it does require some sort of external powered speaker.
